Request Input

This block is used to request information from a chat customer. It can be used, for example, to ask for customer information at the beginning of the chat session (first and last name, email address, etc.), or to offer the customer a satisfaction survey at the end of the session.


Conditional Exits

  • Timeout - Executes if no customer input is received within the specified timeout.


Settings

  • Title text - The name of the block instance.

  • Prompt with – The type of prompt to be used to request input. For a web chat form, select HTML and specify the Form HTML code of the page that will be presented to the customer to request information. For a mobile form, select form and specify the Form name, i.e., the name of the form that is to be displayed by the mobile application. To request input via a message directly in the chat window, select test message and specify the text of the Message to send.

  • Timeout after – Specifies for how long the block will wait for customer’s input before taking conditional exit Time Out.
